Well equipped apartment, excellently situated, well suited for a party of up to four people. Enjoy!
Positive:
We received the key and some quick explanations / information by a very friendly person. We were contacted by SMS on the day of our arrival to organize the transfer of the key. The equipment of the apartment was as described.
Everything was working fine. Other than cleaning utensils, nothing was missing. The apartment is well situated. The beach nearby is very pebbly. You can see (and hear) the airplanes from the airport, as the apartment is only five tramway stations away from it.
We enjoyed our stay and used the good public transport connections for day trips in the area.
Negative:
The cooking plates and the oven were very dirty. There were no cleaning utensils for these, we had to buy sponges, glass ceramics cleaner, paper tissues and toilet paper at the supermarket. I spent the first half day of our stay shopping and cleaning. Everything looks used but is working fine. The balcony / loggia could use some fresh paint. None of the windows are closing correctly (the locks do not work).
I did not realize at first that an additional security payment of 700€ was required. I am not familiar with bookings in France, but I think such payments are common practice there. Still, I was surprised it was necessary even when booking via the platform bockig.com. I received a link to document the state of the apartment with photos upon check-in and check-out. A protocol with a list of the inventory and a description of its current state would have been much appreciated. That is the common practice for car rentals, where a similar security deposit is required. I do hope there will not be any issues and that I will receive the money back without further ado. As soon as I find out, I propose to update this evaluation.
