We really enjoyed our stay in Montpellier. A very nice space and was always cool after being out and about. Quiet small street but close to all our activities and the Préfécture Fuch carpark. Managed the stairs as described but good to be aware some folks may struggle. My wife has 2 total knee replacements and was able to manage but not to carry luggage.

Great location. It was an easy walk to the train station and there were lots of good restaurants and cafés nearby. The air condition was essential during this last heat wave. It worked great and made the walk up the three flights of stairs worth it when you could sit in the cool apartment. The apartment was spacious for two people. The check-in and check-out was done with an actual person who could answer questions about the area (this is a rare, and personally, a welcome change from the usual AirBnB rentals).

It is a nice small apartment, AC in the living room only, kitchen and private bedroom with a queen size bed. Apartment in 3rd floor, no elevator so not for people with mobility issues. Nicely located and safe. Host was nice to help carry the bags upstairs.

Generally a really great appartment
Positive:
It is really a very good appartment, even for longer stays. Totally fully equiped, not a single thing was missing. They even had some basic cooking ingredients (oil, vinegar, sugar) available as well as a few coffee capsules. Despite relatively high temperatures outside ~+35 celsius), the aircon was sufficient. It is not a big appartment but space was sufficient for our needs, including bathroom/shower. The location perfect with restaurants just outside and the main old town street just few min away. There were also bathroom supplies provided for a few days (small shampoo, shower gel). Efficient no-cash deposit system. It was a high floor without elevator, so not fit for those with mobility restrictions, but for us climbing stairs even multiple times a day was fine, just a bit of an exercise.
Negative:
Just a slight improvement in cleaniliness would help as there were some hairs around (a bit more thorough vacuum needed) and e.g. one pillow cover was visibly dirty (even if washed). Most strange thing though was the voluntary insurance plan which does not seem to be fit for longer stays as it easily gets really expensive when staying longer (a fixed insurance fee is calculated no matter the stay duration, makes it unatractive for any longer stay due to cumulative pricing which my even surpass deposit value against which the insurance is provided). Also deposit situation not clear even after several weeks have passed after departure (no info email).
