The place is comfortable, cute, and charming and stocked with everything we needed. True, you reach the flat via a narrow, spiral staircase; but, the staircase is part of the charm and, unless you have mobility issues, is not a problem. It’s also true that there is no parking at the flat; but, 90% of the old, walled city is pedestrian only, so there’s no parking at any flat. There’s a garage a 5-min walk away. We could not have enjoyed our stay more and can’t wait to go back.

Pour les courses, une boulangerie, une supérette sont à côté ainsi que les Halles ouvertes tous les jours. Le logement a beaucoup de charme et de cachet, dans une très ancienne maison, il a un plan très original. Nous étions hors saison, de ce fait nous étions au calme, même avec les fenêtres donnant sur la rue piétonne au premier étage. Tout était impeccablement propre. La personne qui nous a accueillis était très sympathique.

Sehr schön gelegen, alles fußläufig erreichbar, reichlich Platz für fünf Personen. Die Wohnung ist gut ausgestattet, auch die Küche. Es ist ausreichend Besteck und Geschirr vorhanden, so dass auch die Spülmaschine genutzt werden kann. Einzig gibt es nur vier Stühle am Esstisch. Wir mussten uns mit Sesseln aushelfen, die wiederum unpassend für den Tisch sind. Auf den ersten Blick eine tolle Wohnung, die zentral gelegen ist. Das Unternehmen welkeys arbeitet mit Concierges vor Ort zusammen, die unterschiedlich kommunizieren, so dass wir ab und zu länger auf eine Antwort warten mussten. Aber es ließ sich alles regeln.
Man kann sehr gut vor den Mauern kostenlos in der Nebenstraße parken und 10 Minuten zur Wohnung laufen oder bei Bedarf ein Abo bei Les Halles abschließen. 14 Tage kosten 90€. Dieses ist über eine App möglich.

The location is AMAZING, and the interior design that the hosts have done with the place make it so unique. Only struggle is the staircase getting up to the apartment because we had older folks with us. Other than that, we can’t wait to come back!!! Avant même notre arrivée, nous recevons des messages frauduleux de Welkeys nous demandant de payer une deuxième fois le séjour.
Nous sommes « oubliés » lors du Check-in et devons rappeler plusieurs fois pour que quelqu’un vienne nous ouvrir.
Simple vitrage, rue bruyante, pas de volet, lumière dans la rue, appartement situé au dessus d’un restaurant, une des chambre a d’ailleurs sa fenêtre qui donne juste sur l’arrière cour de celui ci (idéal pour les odeurs…), l’autre chambre n’a pas de porte, on entend la voisine du dessus respirer…
Sans compter une communication déplorable avec Welkeys (aucune réactivité, messages incompréhensibles, absence de services…).
Pour couronner le tout, welkeys nous réclame des frais de pressing de 180€ pour nettoyer 2 draps tachés par un saignement de nez… alors que le ménage à notre arrivée laissait franchement à désirer.
Heureusement que la ville est belle sans quoi le séjour aurait été affreux.

The only expectation to manage is upon entry to the building- the wall by the main staircase is crumbling slightly (looks unsightly) and it is very dim. Just not so pleasant entering and leaving the building. And this was not communicated to us beforehand.

Check in was bad, host could not get TV to work, had no Internet login or PW. TV took six days to fix, then, Internet went out. TV uses a cheap internet app like Fubo.

We checked out 2 days early and hoping VRBO does the right thing and credits us.

We felt at home the moment we arrived on this spacious apartment and upon returning home each day after trips to the many area sights and villages. The location was superb for shopping, eateries, and parking. Essentials like comfy bed, shower (best ever), wifi (with some help early on) and washing machine were perfect. The Welkeys team was very kind and responsive, although sometimes language difference was a challenge. We could have used a bit more instruction about some of household devices, and recommendations for local services, but we would go back in a minute! Many thanks to you all.

Die Wohnung ist sehr schön, toll gelegen, allerdings ist die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter sehr kompliziert. Man kommuniziert umständlich mit einem kommerziellen Unternehmen, das Anfragen zeitverzögert weitergibt an eine Hausmeisterin vor Ort. Diese war extrem unfreundlich und wenig hilfsbereit. Es gab für die gesamte Dauer keinen Internetzugang - da gab es aber keine Versuche, das Problem zu beheben - der Check-In war problematisch, ich musste sehr lange warten, bis ich endlich in die Wohnung reingelassen wurde, es gab kein Handbuch in der Wohnung, der Herd war in den ersten Tagen nicht nutzbar, Klimaanlage gab es nur im Schlafzimmer (ihm Inserat wird der Eindruck erweckt, dass die Wohnung insgesamt Klimaanlage hat). Allerdings hat mir die Airbnb Kundenbetreuung sehr zur Seite gestanden (großes Lob und Dank an die Mitarbeiterinnen!) und der Vermieter hat mir im Nachhinein einen Teil der Miete erlassen. Dennoch keine schöne Erfahrung.

Le sèche serviette était couvert de poussière, les tapis du salon n’avaient pas été aspirés, les ustensiles de cuisine pas très propres. Également il n’y avait pas de sel, sur 4 poêles seule 1 était compatible avec les plaques à induction. Pas de planche à découper, bref une cuisine pas vraiment fonctionnelle. Pour le prix quelques capsules de café auraient été appréciables. La conciergerie sur WhatsApp est d’ailleurs inutile (aucune réponse à de multiples messages).

We loved how this place felt very cool and historical but had every modern amenity. The master bedroom is huge and has a family room within. The back bedroom was dark and quiet which was good for a light sleeper like me. The kitchen had everything and was very new. The fridge wasn’t getting very cold but we reported that and assume it will be fixed. The bathroom was brand new and very clean. I really enjoyed hanging out in the living room with the windows open. It’s a small narrow street so very little traffic noise and I don’t think any cars. Walking to the main sites was very easy. We had a car and parked at the Palais Des Papes garage which was less than 20 euros overnight. Wasn’t fully clear on what to do at checkout, so confirm what to do with the key and clean up. Overall loved the place and wished we stayed longer.
The location was excellent to explore the city and accessible surrounds.

The air conditioning is only available in one bedroom, not the whole apartment, although fans are provided in the other rooms. The main bedroom is where the sofa bed is so it is more like a family room for sleeping four. For us, only three, the apartment suited us but if we had another two adults staying it would not have worked as the people in the main bedroom would also have to walk pass the sofa bed to get the the bathroom. There was also only one lock on one of the bathroom doors, not both. Also be warned as there is a steep, narrow spiral staircase, just one flight, which has a handrail that is falling off at the bottom, to climb to access the apartment so would not recommend it for anyone with mobility issues. The TV was in the main bedroom and sofa bed room rather than the sitting area.

This apartment is an ideal space for four adults in the heart of Avignon's historic center (six adults would be tight, and there is only one bathroom). The location is amazing and the space is even larger than the pictures show!
The only few downsides to note:
-Behind the nightstands were pretty unclean. There were pills on the floor... Otherwise, the apartment was spotless.
-The WiFi didn't work at all (but we also didn't ask for this to be fixed; it may have been a solvable issue, but we had cellular data and didn't mind)
-Beds and pillows are a great size, but they are very hard
-There is an AC unit in only ONE bedroom, not throughout the apartment

We enjoyed our stay in Avignon. The apartment was large, clean and charming. The kitchen had the basics plus a few extras which was nice. Not all the pots and pans worked on the induction cooktop but we made do with what did. Communication with the host company was fast and easy. A representative met us with the key at check-in and again at checkout. They were very prompt, we weren’t kept waiting at all. The place is only a block or so from a parking garage which is a great thing in Avignon. The street is very cute with restaurants, a small grocery store, a boulangerie and more. Overall a nice experience.

Brilliant apartment. Spotless & even better than the photos. Ideal location in the old city - 5min walk to Palais des Papes. One short block from Les Halles for good value and large variety of local produce & parking (long-stay parking rate available). Staircase to first-floor apartment is narrow and steep, but we managed easily with a ton of luggage & 2 toddlers. Hosts were very accommodating and helpful. Highly recommend this apartment. We extended our stay and would book again!

Very centrally located apartment right in the old historic centre of Avignon. The pictures and description were accurate and the space was lovely and airy and very well set up. One of the bedrooms had excellent air conditioning and there were good fans for the other. Comfortable living room and kitchen areas. Communications were good but could have been more quick for responses. We were very happy here and would recommend.

A notre arrivée, nous avons constaté que le ménage avait été fait succinctement, il restaient des cheveux et autres miettes des précédents locataires.
Une seule chambre équipée de climatisation, ça c’est bien !
La seconde chambre par contre, n’a pas de porte, elle est ouverte sur le salon et n’a pas de climatisation.
Une odeur d’égout remonte par le siphon de la douche c’est désagréable.
On entend bien les pas des voisins du dessus.
Voilà un appartement qui pourrait être vraiment génial si des améliorations étaient prévues !

This is a beautiful apartment that has been recently remodeled and appears to be professionally decorated. It is in an amazing location. You can enjoy being right in the middle of old town, steps away from fantastic restaurants and the main market. The apartment only has one small air conditioner in the back bedroom, so the apartment does get warm in the summer. The main downside of the apartment is the difficult communication with the management company, which we experienced at check-in and when both the air conditioning and the washer malfunctioned. You cannot communicate with the owner or local management company through the Airbnb app. Instead you are instructed to log into a third-party website and provide your cell phone and email. You then can only communicate by email (no phone) with a central management company (Welkeys) that is not in Avignon. They instruct you to contact a “local manager” via cell phone, but communication with her was poor. She was supposed to meet us for check in, and although we exchanged texts with her the morning of our arrival, she was inexplicably not there at check in time. As my teens would say, she “ghosted” us, not responding to any further texts. We had to wait outside the apartment in the heat until someone else from the company came and let us in, with no explanations or apologies offered. The only contact information we were given was the mobile of this local manager, but she never answered her cell phone, always let it go to voicemail, and would take a long time to answer texts. We incurred international phone charges trying to call her to get into the apartment and again to deal with the urgent malfunction of the clothes washer. For this reason, I would not book this apartment again. But Avignon was wonderful—highly recommended the town! Many areas the are less touristy with a great local arts scene.

We enjoyed our stay here so much! It is a really beautiful and large space right in the middle of town. It was very close to the parking garage at Helles and the amazing market. It was plenty of space for 2 couples or a family and after our time is a tiny room in Paris it was so nice to spread out. The kitchen is very well appointed and it was so convenient to have a washing machine! Check in and out was easy and the costumer service was great. We hope to come back soon!

Please aware that you will need to bring your own:
-paper towels
-coffee pods
-tea
-toilet paper (if staying more than a few days)
-laundry detergent (if staying for more than a few days)
-small wash cloths for shower
-dish towels
If you plan on cooking, there are pans that work with the induction stove top, but many of the pots and pans do not work with the induction stove so be mindful of which pots work, otherwise you will not be able to cook.
The space is amazing! We were so happy to stay here: four adults. You will not be disappointed. It’s really an amazing spot!

An absolutely stunning apartment in the heart of the historic city centre of Avignon. Situated on a beautiful street just around the corner from Les Halles (and its parking lot!) as well as several lovely shops, bakeries and restaurants. The apartment had lovely luxury touches and contained everything we required for a group of 4. The communication and check in with our hosts, who met us in person, was easy and effective. We enjoyed our stay immensely and can definitely recommend!

Très bel appartement, chaleureux, décoré avec bcp de goût, très bien situé (juste au dessus d'une rue piétonne, mais cela ne nous a pas dérangés puisqu'en cette période, les fenêtres sont fermées la nuit). Tout l'essentiel d'Avignon est à 2 pas. L'escalier d'accès à l'étage est effectivement étroit mais lorsque vous réservez, vous en êtes informés donc cela ne nous a également pas dérangés. Nous relouerons ce appartement lors de notre prochain passage, c'est sûr.

The place is in a very old building that has its charm. It’s very central to all the things that Avignon has to offer. We travelled by car and easy parking was important to us. Public parking was about a 100 m away from the building entrance. So it’s a win.
It looked like the place was recently renovated, but we found no cookware that was compatible with the induction stove top.
Overall we enjoyed the stay. Check-in and check-out was simple, the manager let us in, showed around, and stopped by to pick up the keys on our way out.

We had a wonderful time at this apartment. It is very centrally located in Avignon, short walk to Les Halles and the main square. The place was very recently renovated, was clean and all the furnishings felt new and fresh. Also, interior design is very tasteful and done in Provençal style, making the place have a lot of character and period charm.
A few minor issues we experienced during our stay included slow response rate from the host and the concierge who was assigned to us by the host whom we never met. Additionally, the kitchen was fully stocked but lacked pans compatible with the induction stove in the apartment. Also, AC is only installed in one (smaller) bedroom so the other bedroom was slightly warm at night on hot days. The host did provide floor fans though.
Otherwise, we had a great stay.
