The building was in reconstruction and full of dust, dirt and noise. My son who suffers from asthma couldn’t stay in this property. The owner of the property was rude and inflexible although I was ready to pay several nights ahead just to get my money back and rent another apartment. I had to sell my gold jewelry to book another apartment.

I think you’ll enjoy this place if you like Cruel and unusual punishment. There is 6 flights of uneven stairs through an active construction site to get to the apartment. The stairs reek of chemicals and there is a sheer drop to the left of the stairs that goes all six stories. The shower head was not screwed on correctly and fell of the wall and hit my friend in the head (it was pretty funny but not super chill ). The bedroom was effectively a gas chamber. It stayed a consistent 88 degrees Fahrenheit and smelled of whatever chemicals the used to work the water heater, which is conveniently placed next to the head of the bed. It felt as if we were in an escape room that was constantly trying to kill us. Check in was smooth and the location is great. However, check out was very difficult. The host sent us a 2 minute video of where to take the keys. It felt like we were trying to locate the arc of the covenant in the streets of nice. Overall, it’s better than homelessness worse than jail

This place was great! Sébastien was a fantastic host, very friendly and responsive. You’re paying for the location - 1 minute walk from market, 2 minutes from the beach, right in the heart of vielle ville. NB: there is a 5 story walk up, no elevator. The apartment is air conditioned (it works really well and was a life saver in the summer), however it doesn’t reach the upstairs loft area where the bed is very well. Overall, since location is everything for me, I thought this place was great and would recommend staying here
