## Emplacement
Le 18ème arrondissement se trouve au nord de Paris et comprend les quartiers de La goutte d'Or et de Montmartre. Ce dernier est l'une dessus plus hautes buttes de Paris et la vue du sommet vaut le déplacement. L'église du Sacré-Coeur, Bastion de la Commune au XIXème siècle, Montmartre est ensuite devenu le quartier de nombreux artistes comme Picasso, Dali, Duchamp, Toulouse-Lautrec et bien d'autres. Le 18ème arrondissement est donc très contrasté, intégrant îlots ethniques à un secteur bourgeois ou le contraire. Le Boulevard de Clichy, près de la Place Pigalle, a de nombreux cafés et bars très agréables, conférant au quartier un certain dynamisme et une certaine respectabilité.

Das Appartement ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man für einen Kurzaufenthalt benötigt, ist hell und verfügt über einen Balkon. Umgebung ist multikulturell und lebendig.
Negative:
Eine KLimaanlage wäre wünschenswert. Der vorhandene Ventilator hilft an Hitzetagen nur bedingt. Der Check-In war prinzipiell unkompliziert. Der Schlüssel befand sich allerdings in einem unbeschrifteten Briefkasten. Wir haben den Schlüssel erst nach einigem Stöbern gefunden. Unter Umständen kann es bei geöffnetem Fenster und auf dem Balkon laut werden.
Im Haus selbst war es allerdings sehr ruhig.
Quiet days at the foot of Montmartre

A very nice and well-maintained appartment on the fourth floor (with elevator) of a modern building in a quiet residential neighbourhood at the unflashy Eastern edge of Montmartre with everything you need including a fully equipped kitchen corner, a functional bathroom, fast WLan and a lot of stowage space. Lightfilled with huge windows towards the East and the North and a nice balcony perfect for breakfast, snacks and drinks. The touristy side of Montmartre - Sacre Coeur, Place de Tertre, the eateries around Rue Lamarck, ... - are just a few steps away - which, this being Montmartre, of course always include a lot of stair climbing ... Good connection to the airports and the rest of Paris: The Metro 4 station Chateau Rouge is 400 meters away. Unproblematic communication, very good value for money (except for the 30 Euro extra for a 1 hour early check-in or late check-out ...)

I would have loved a curtain in front of the balcony door/window like the one in front of the eastward window in order to be able to get some privacy without having to completely darken the room with the shutters.
I didnt find a way to turn off the ventilation in the bathroom. The quiet but constant noise was a bit of a nuissance, esp. at night.
The mattress and the pillows are nearing the end of their lifespan. (The duvet was fine.)

We found the flat bright and spacious and just as described. Well equipped.

Es gab keine Heizung und wir haben gefroren! Als ich mit dem Vermieter Kontakt aufgenommen habe, hat er komplett unterschiedliche Ausreden gesucht, bis er irgendwann gemeint hat, das im Mai die Heizungen abgedreht werden. Es hatte zwischen 15-18 Grad im Zimmer und das war wirklich unangenehm, vor allem wurde überhaupt keine Lösung gesucht. Er hätte ja z.B. einen mobilen Heizstrahler vorbeibringen könne o.Ä. Aber da war überhaupt kein Entgegenkommen.

Our stay at this studio was extremely disappointing and fell well below the standards expected from a Booking.com listing.
The holiday began with a major logistical failure. It took us over 90 minutes to locate and access the property due to an incorrect address listed on Booking.com. We were directed to 8 Rue du Chevalier de la Barre instead of the correct location at 8 Rue Falconet. As a result, our taxi could not drop us at the proper address, leaving us stranded and unable to reach the property directly. We had to rely on assistance from locals who did not speak English, and attempts to contact the host, Cecile Lecolle, led only to an answering machine.
Upon arrival, the condition of the studio was unacceptable. It was poorly maintained and not properly cleaned. The bed sheets were unhygienic, containing strands of long human hair, and the floors were visibly dusty. The shower flooded immediately upon use, and the curtain could not be fully opened. For a four-day stay, we were provided with only one hand towel, which is inadequate.
The sleeping arrangements were also misleading. The sofa bed did not match the advertised dimensions of 160x200 cm. At 5'11", I was unable to sleep comfortably, and my wife, who is 5'2", found her legs hanging off the end of the mattress.
Management practices added further frustration. We were required to pay €3 to access the Hostnfly app, and the €250 security deposit meant documenting the property extensively. To protect ourselves from potential unfair charges, I had to take and submit 22 photos showing pre-existing damage. There were also no clear instructions for rubbish disposal.
Given the serious issues with accuracy, cleanliness, and service, the positive reviews for this property are difficult to reconcile with our experience.

The location was as expected. The room provided all we had hoped for and was warm, bright and airy. Although the bed is a sofa bed it was comfortable and provided all required of it for a decent night. All the facilities we could have wished for were within the room, which helped provide a comfortable stay.
The acid test always when renting a room is - would we stay there again if we were visiting? The answer to that is a resounding yes!

The property itself is not ridiculously difficult to find, particularly for those who, like us, have visited Montmartre before. However, we felt for newcomers it would prove difficult and additional instructions as to which metro station best serves the property, along with directions from it, would be very helpful. We found the keybox system used ridiculous and intrinsically problematic. It is hidden at the back of an unmarked letterbox, obscured by leaflets, and impossible to read in the dark without a torch. A wholly absurd configeration. We had to call for instructions for the first time in many years.

Es wurde gewünscht z.B. dass, das Geschirr sauber zurückgelassen wird. Aber es wird nicht einmal ein Trockentuch zur verfügung gestellt.
Es wäre erwünscht dass, das Geschirr von vorgängern kontrolliert wirt. Es war leider vieles noch dreckig.
Die Unterkunft hätte es mal wieder nötig richtig sauber gemacht zu werden, auch alle ecken!

I liked how homely this studio was, it felt like we lived there, very cosy. I loved that the shutter blinds were literally black out. The balcony was a nice touch but didn't get to use it as it was a little bit cold to go out. The kitchen had lots of utensils which were very useful and shampoo and conditioner were left in the shower. A lot of different essentials fit in an ordinary sized room. Close to transport and extremly close to the sacre couer basillica, 3 minute walk uphill. It was great.

I saw another review say the shower fan is to loud, which it is always on but it never once bothered me, you would have to be an extremely light sleeper for that to keep you awake, especially after all the exploring. An extra roll of toilet paper would have been useful although we were ok without it.

The host accommodated an early checkin and it was seriously the best experience. its a great location, you are in walking distance to so much. Convenient studio near Sacre-Coeur

Pretty good value for the money (in Paris)! The location is easily accessible, being close to a metro station. We received thorough instructions for our arrival, with great communication from the host. The keys were in a lockbox. The studio was well equipped with the basics (cups, pots, utensils, Nespresso machine etc), and comfy enough, if a bit chilly.
Negative:
The building is somewhat worn. There were dark mold stains in the shower and the shower hose was broken and leaking. There were only two rolls of toilet paper for our stay of several days. No sponge or brush for dishwashing. The overall location near the Château Rouge metro station didn't feel unsafe per se, but not very charming either.

Sehr nahe zum Montmatre, Metro und Busse sind gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Viele Bars, Restaurants und Brasserien sind dicht bei.

Schlüsselübergabe am Abreisetag war etwas kompliziert, denn wenn man den Schlüssel in die Box im Briefkasten hinterlegt, scheint es keine Möglichkeit zu geben, um das Gebäude zu verlassen, außer man stellt etwas in die Zwischentür um dann auf der 3. Etage wieder nach draußen zu gelangen.

What an awesome place in Paris! The studio is super-bright and airy with all the space and amenities you need to relax and unwind after a long day walking around Paris in the Sun. Great communication via booking and locally once you get there. Easy access on the Metro and close to Gare du Nord for those arriving by train.

So konnten wir uns problemlos zu jeder Tages- und Nachtzeit fortbewegen. Die Kneipen um die Ecke sind super nett. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen. Auch das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist super. Empfehlung ohne Einschränkung.

Hermoso studio con excelente ubicación

La ubicación fue totalmente excepcional. El barrio es hermoso y pese a ser turístico, es muy tranquilo. El departamento era muy amplio (para ser un studio) y limpio. El balcón definitivamente le da el toque parisino. El wifi funcionaba perfecto y la calefacción también. A su vez, la cocina estaba muy bien equipada; hasta había cápsulas para hacer café. El edificio en sí también estaba en perfectas condiciones y la gente era muy amable.

El personal mandaba repetitivos mensajes antes y durante la estancia. Creo que podrían ser un poco más relajados. Por ejemplo, el día del check out, había quedado con Cecile en dejar el departamento a las 11h (horario límite) y dicha persona llamó hasta al número de mi madre para saber si ya lo había dejado, 3 veces la llamó, cuando mi número personal ya lo tenía, y encima con mensajes incluidos. Además de que a mí también me escribió por supuesto. Por otro lado, al no tener novedades de la devolución de mi depósito bancario, la contacté a ella para que me oriente y me dijo que el departamento tenía que encargarse. 0 voluntad de su parte en ayudar... Hasta que lo pude resolver con atención al cliente de Booking.

This stay was the perfect amount of quiet, cozy, peaceful, and wonderful placement in the city !

Lovely compact studio conveniently located on the foot of Montmartre hill

Lovely studio, located conveniently near metro/bus stations and Sacre Coeur on walking distance. A typical Parisian studio, compact but all necessities for a short stay are there. We enjoyed our nights rest and were able to quickly get back to exploring the city from our base here. Amazing bakery and cheese shop around the corner. I would come back again for a future stay in Paris!

A few little things only: a set of sheets between the mattress cover and the duvet, this we missed. A bit more toilet paper would've been nice and we weren't sure of the cleanliness of the sponges and cutlery/dishes/glasses.

Studio with a sofa bed, only for couple or a slim single as the shower is quite small.

I liked that the property is quite near the Sacre Couer Basilica and near some convenient restaurants and grocery store.

I had the most difficult time locating the building. It was a hidden location that even several of the locals that I asked didn't know the address and pointed to a different location until I went into a property office nearby and thank God she spoke English and she went to her desktop and look for the address and directed me step by step to the right location. The street is quite risky at night as some young noisy people hang out at that dark street below.
Cecile the host was an indifferent local referent. I felt like she didn't care if it took me forever to locate the apt. She just gave me the address and password to the key box. No details, no excuse. I guess that's how she works and I learned much.
