Située sur les rives de la mer Méditerranée, non loin de Saint-Laurent-du-Var, la ville s'étend le long d'une plage de près de quatre kilomètres de long et s'entoure de belles collines. Cet ancien village de pêcheurs est devenu une station balnéaire appréciée et dynamique, notamment grâce à sa plage, Cros-de-Cagnes. Aujourd'hui, la ville allie à merveille tradition et modernité, à travers son bourg médiéval, de nombreux monuments et autres activités nautiques et culturelles. Premier prix national du Concours des Entrées de Ville, Cagnes-sur-Mer propose une nature exceptionnelle et un aménagement tourné sur la verdure et l'esthétique. Ce n'est pas pour rien que de nombreux peintres choisirent en leur temps la ville pour terre d'accueil. Sa luminosité, son atmosphère et son charme indéniable ont toujours attiré les artistes venus du monde entier. La French Riviera a trouvé l'un de ses joyaux les plus emblématiques avec Cagnes-sur-Mer et ses jolies collines.

Appréciations
Delightful stay
Positive:
This unit is in a terrific location just a block from the beach and with a stunning view from the ocean to the mountains! There are a pair of sliding glass doors and a full-length balcony to enjoy the sights. (Note that the street below is noisy.)
During the day you can watch trotting horses in training at the hippodrome next door. At night you can watch the sun set, and then the lights of airplanes on their descents over the ocean into Nice.
The building's small elevator worked well and takes you right to the unit. There's a train station about 13 minutes' walk away that can get you quickly to Nice, Cannes, etc. There are plenty of restaurants within a few blocks' walk.
Overall, the "Bright Cocoon" name is accurate! I loved my stay and would happily stay again in the future if I'm able to return to Cagnes-Sur-Mer.
Negative:
There were a few minor issues that were outweighed by all the things I loved.
For check-in, I was instructed to use a lockbox to get the keys, which resulted in some frustration. I didn't realize part of the keychain was electronic to let me into the building. Second, there's a trick to opening the door to this unit, and I suggest the trick really needs to be shown in person OR there need to be clearer instructions — but the hosts were super nice and did get someone to drive out to help me. Once you know the trick, you know, so after that it was fine.
In all honesty, I could not call the cleanliness level pristine. The bathroom mirror had toothpaste spots, the coffee table had not been thoroughly wiped, the balcony could use a mopping due to pigeons, the pillows smelled a bit, and the light switches and doors were a bit grimy. It could use a deeper clean.
One of the sets of sliding glass doors did not actually lock, but it was the 5th floor. At night I always rolled the metal shades down anyway, so it felt safe enough.
A FEW TIPS FOR FUTURE GUESTS:
The street below the unit is big and noisy, but the roll-down metal shutters do help to insulate you a bit. I wore earplugs and slept fine. But if street noises truly bother you and you'd be unable to sleep or relax, this unit might not be your best choice.
There was no soap provided for the bathroom sink or shower, so that was a bit of a surprise. Fortunately, I'd brought enough to tide me over for a night, and there's a nice little neighborhood grocery store 6 minutes' walk north where you can get whatever you need.
In the summer, the sun lets in a lot of heat through the sliding glass doors, so plan accordingly, either with the rolling shutters or the awnings. And the light in the kitchen is from the east, so if you don't want to wake with the sunrise, just close the door to the kitchen before you go to bed.

Aurait été magnifique sans les points négatifs qui peuvent être résolus.

La lumière, l’espace, la vue magnifique, l’emplacement idéal. Nous avons pu tout faire sans voiture. La réactivité de Clarisse.

Le chauffage n’a fonctionné qu’une soirée. Nous étions en novembre…
Le ménage n’était fait que superficiellement. Les coins, les plinthes et le pourtour de la baignoire laissent à désirer. Les fenêtres de la cuisine n’ont pas été faites depuis une éternité.
Une des 2 baies vitrées du salon ne ferme pas et est une vraie passoire thermique et phonique ( l’avenue est un axe passant).
