Nothing really. Being an an older building in Europe there was no air conditioning, but this wasn’t a problem even on hot days, as the sun didn’t really penetrate the room and the pedestal fans worked well to keep us cool overnight.

The location is perfect, the staff and the owner are super friendly. The studio is well maintained with everything you need for a few days vacation. It is very quiet, close to a church. We had a great time. Highly recommended and great value for money.

This studio apartment was really lovely. The vibe was calm and peaceful with windows overlooking the church. The location was a short walk from Centraal Station (7mins) and right on the bottom edge of the Jordaan area. Loads of places to discover nearby - only took 40min stroll through the city to get to museums and we were going slowly! The apartment felt safe, although if I was travelling alone (as a woman) I might feel a tad unsure about the fact the owner has a door that opens directly into the space (at the top of the stairs next to the bed). But the door is sound proofed and there was no issue with it at all. I just might prefer not to have that if solo. At night and first thing in the am it could be a touch noisy here and there, but it was fine with ear plugs. Not tourist noise, just normal life! Only one average flight of stairs up. Smart TV had Netflix and Prime. Hairdryer had diffuser option too! Would definitely stay again. Pricey, but lovely. We certainly called it ‘home’!

The most strange thing was the gentleman that came to collect the key when checking out. To start off with, having someone meet you when checking out is a little annoying when you’re on holiday and would like to be spontaneous. But, what worse is he arrived at early and proceeded to walk into the apartment whilst we were still getting ready to leave. He then continued to inside watching us whilst we completed packing and getting dressing - it was incredibly uncomfortable.

Breakfast was not provided. The bed was comfortable and the property was very clean throughout. Our host, Ron, was very flexible and helpful. The situation is excellent, just a short walk from Central station. It was well-equipped: TV, wi-fi, etc. There were pleasing extra touches: Nespresso capsules, tea, sugar, creamer etc.

We found the decor a little gloomy, but that is perhaps in keeping with the period nature of the apartment. There is a microwave and a fridge, but no hotplate for cooking on. In our experience of similar apartments, both in the UK and abroad, that is unusual.

A perfect stay in Amsterdam.

The flat is a ten-minute walk from Amsterdam's central station but in a lovely little alleyway of beautiful buildings. So you are right in the centre, but at night there is perfect silence and with the extremely comfortable bed a great night's sleep is assured. The station is handy for day trips to other towns and from the flat itself you can walk almost everywhere. There's a really friendly pub just round the corner on the canal for food and drinks. The flat was clean, comfortable and decorated with a keen eye, so it made a perfect base, and our host was friendly, informative and welcoming. We had a great time.

We absolutely LOVED our stay at Bas-Jan's exquisite apartment. It is beautifully decorated in a retro vintage style with an emphasis on a calming green colour palette. The location was beyond expectations in terms of being central and convenient but also quiet ensuring very peaceful sleeps! I love the way the apartment was furnished and decorated in an authentic heritage style yet all the necessary modern features are there ..... including kitchen equipment, a coffee maker and the most brilliant shower! We will definitely try to stay here next time!

Further more, there is a old guy living upstairs which listen to our conversations and even came without permission into our room in the early hours which we found a bit weird.

Perfect location with proximity to the train station, ferry to get across the water, and to explore all parts of Amsterdam by foot. Peter was great with checking us in and we had 3 great nights here. The area felt mostly safe but definitely keep your head on a swivel late night if you’re walking back and don’t entertain anyone on the street looking for directions etc. Would definitely stay here again. Bed was unbelievably comfortable.

The location is perfect. You have several restaurants & shops within minutes away by foot. It takes about 35 minutes to Uber to from the airport depending on traffic (we paid around €50). But it’s very close to the metro which I hear is no problem to use to get to & from the AMS airport.
BTW the host (Peter) does have to be present for both check-in & check-out, so be prepared to coordinate your arrival & departure times with him. I wasn’t aware this at first & felt bad making him stay up until 2:00AM to check us in, however, he was completely understanding & extremely nice when we met with him. It was a pleasure getting a chance to meet him, he’s a kind soul.
FYI we had dinner at the Italian restaurant IL Pacioccone down the block & breakfast at Bagels Village & both were fantastic!

El apartamento no puede estar mejor situado: en uno de los canales más bonitos de Ámsterdam y muy cerca de la estación. Decorado con gusto, transmite la sensación acogedora de una casa antigua, lo cual le da un gran encanto.
Aunque da al interior, es muy tranquilo, luminoso y con bonitas vistas.

Great place to stay in central location
The studio has all one needs for a comfortable stay and the location is absolutely fantastic right at the famous canals and monumental canal houses. Check-in and communication with the staf is flawless

BOOK THIS PLACE!!! I don’t know how we lucked out by getting this place last minute but I am so grateful. The local host, Ron was incredibly responsive and kind. The place was pristine and accurately matched the photos. It was a cute little place and I loved the earthy tones. It was in a convenient location to the tram and/or walking. Would definitely book there again. Thank you for having us.
