We enjoyed our stay and the location is excellent. I love the town and the restaurants and the beach and the view from the house.As others have mentioned, the place is very small, but that was not so much an issue for me. If you are one person staying there, it would be excellent. With two people it is difficult to find a place to put your suitcase, I had to put mine on the kitchen counter, as there is no space in the bedroom, and the closet was filled with other items.There is a washer if you need it and our clothes dried within a couple hours in the sunny dry Portugal air. There was plenty of coffee, which is very nice and they provided a bottle of water.One thing I want to mention that others have also noted on is the smell from the bathroom.I had read about this from people staying months ago and I was certain it would’ve been addressed by now. It is a one hour fix to remedy that situation, but for some reason, it has not been addressed. This beautiful unit would get a lot more bookings and much better reviews if they would just spend an hour addressing the smell that is coming back into the house. You will need to keep the bathroom door closed and the window open to have a pleasant stay while in the house.Other than that, it is a very nice tiny unit. We loved having dinner upstairs out on the balcony overlooking the sea.

I can't say enough about the location of this place. Every morning I drank my coffee on the balcony and watched the waves on the beach. I fell asleep to the sound of the waves at night and woke up to them the next day. And there are a surprising number of wonderful restaurants and bars near by (I don't think Google Maps did this place justice). Everything you need is within walking distance, including a couple shops and grocery stores. If you're interested in surfing, this is also a very beautiful beach with some beginner-friendly waves. My husband and I loved this place so much and would happily stay here again in the future.

Die kleine Wohnung liegt schon wirklich sehr nah am Wasser. Wunderschön ist das Meeresrauschen wenn man es mag, was uns sehr gefiel. Insgesamt eher nur für kleinere Personen geeignet / das Bett war mir bei 1.86m Körperlänge zu kurz / die Matratze sollte dringend getauscht werden, sie ist viel zu weich/durchgelegen. Sehr störend war der permanente Geruch nach Fäkalien/ Abwasser im Badezimmer. Hier stimmt was nicht und der Besitzer sollte sich dringend kümmern. Der Aufstieg in den Wohnraum/Balkon ist ziemlich eng und die Stufen schmal und man sollte vorsichtig gehen, insbesondere beim Runterlaufen.

We loved Burgau even though we went out of season in late February. It does mean not all the restaurants are open but the location is wonderfully quiet. Great beach and Casa Pedro has immediate access to it. The property is small but works for 2 people.

Sehr schöne Lage, alles im Nahbereich und dann doch sehr ruhig. Blick auf den Strand und das Leben vor der Tür. Hat uns sehr gefallen.

Negative:
Mit viel Gepäck sollte man nicht anreisen :-) wir hatten vorher eine große Wohnung und sind dann in das kleine schön Häuschen eingezogen. Für das Abstellen der Koffer war es etwas umständlich. Wer mit dem eigenen Auto anreist sollte wissen, dass es zwar in Nahbereich Parkplätze gibt, diese jedoch nach eigener Ankunftszeit auch besetzt sein können. Da kann ein Parkplatz auch am etwas weiter weg sein. Dafür lebt man direkt am Strand, Restaurant und Bar. Besser geht nicht.
Das Haus ist für Menschen mit Gehbehinderung auf Grund der Lage und Enge vermutlich nicht so geeignet. Wir haben es genossen 👍

The location and view from here are unbeatable. This is exactly what I wanted on my trip to the algarve. When I was at the apartment I spent my time on the balcony. This is so close to the beach and perfect if you’re looking for beach access. The apartment itself is cute and comfortable with a nice shower. I was surprised there was a laundry machine, which is very handy to have. The kitchen has everything you need. It’s an older apartment but well taken care of. I would stay here again.

The bedroom is too small for 2 adults, you really can't move around in there. No space for suitcases. Not enough storage Lots of other minor problems, some solved by Rental Valley. Some compensation given, fair enough but not a good experience. This property needs re-thinking.

Nous avons passé un très bon sejour à Burgau qui est un petit village plein de charme, avec beaucoup de petits restaurants et snack bars de goût, la circulation se fait piétonne. La petite plage du village est bondée. L'appartement est extrêment bien situé, l'accès à la plage (et aux restaus) est direct, le balcon vue mer est parfait. Pour deux personnes, la taille de l'appartement convient tout à fait, la cuisine est fonctionnelle. Le petit bémol se situe sur l'entretien de l'appartement : quelques petits défauts techniques (chasse d'eau...), une literie inconfortable, tapis et canapé franchement usés...

Wonderful location! Easiest to park up the top of the town and walk down in the busy season to avoid narrow streets and other cars coming the other direction. There was the smell in the bathroom that was mentioned in other comments although we hardly spent much time on that level of the apartment. We were either up stairs enjoying the view on the balcony or out exploring!

Five stars for location, Burgau is a wonderful little town and this place is pretty much on the beach with incredible views.

However I have only given it three stars due to a couple of issues. Mainly the bathroom has a very bad smell of drains that takes over the house, to the point my partner went out and brought some drain unblocker to try and clear the smell. Also came across several cockroaches in there which I know is hard to avoid in hot countries but it wasn’t pleasant.

As others have mentioned it is small and could use some TLC. We are fine with small spaces but you don’t have room to store your things in the bedroom which could be an issue for some. I got myself locked in the bathroom as the door handle on there has pretty much had it and there are a couple of broken tiles on the stairs which if you’re not careful you could catch yourself on.

Most of the issues are pretty easy fixes so just need to see it have a little clear up and we would then be back for the location!

Le logement est petit mais fonctionnel. La cuisine est très bien équipée, la douche est récente. Le quartier est sympa, et la vue depuis le balcon est magnifique. Par contre il y a un souci d’odeur de remontée de canalisation. Je l’avais vu dans les commentaires précédents mais je pensais que ce serait réglé. Et il n’y a pas de climatisation, c’est dommage, ça aurait rendu plus agréable le séjour.

Espacios muy reducidos e incómodos. Tuvimos que dejar las maletas en la planta superior (lo cual fue algo difícil, también bajarlas) porque no cabían en la habitación. El colchón se hundía y además por la noche aparecía una variedad de bichos que daban un poco de asco.

We loved Burgau. The VRBO was great for us. It was a little hard to find. That was the only difficulty. The apartment had what we needed. It was right across the street from 2 restaurants. We loved the view from the upstairs balcony. We would gladly stay here again. It was great for the two of us. It would be tight for any more than 3 or so.

You are across the alley from Miam rastaurant that has a noisy bar, music and patrons until after 11 pm each night. Wir waren knapp drei Wochen in diesem gemütlichen kleinen Appartement, was ziemlich genau der Beschreibung entsprach.
Die Lage ist phantastisch. Fussläufig sind kleine Läden für den täglichen Bedarf sowie mehrere gute Restaurants erreichbar.
Das Parken in der Nähe war im Februar problemlos.
Burgau ist ein hübsches kleines Örtchen was auch viele Surfer anlockt und vom Balkon aus kann man dem Treiben herrlich zu sehen. Der Strand ist unmittelbar in der Nähe und selbst im Februar lädt er schon zum Baden ein. Auch kann man schöne Wanderungen über die Klippen nach Luz oder Salema unternehmen.
Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt und es wird bestimmt nicht das letzte Mal sein.

The location was fantastic close to the beach, lovely public plazas and restaurants. We greatly enjoyed the swimming, coastal walks and town While potentially an atmospheric small apartment embedded in the old part of town, as a couple we found it was just too cramped for us and difficult to comfortably operate in. The bedroom, bathroom and small kitchen (with no seating) are downstairs at street level and the living area, including dining table, and small balcony are upstairs. The bedroom had very little space, it was challenging moving food and drinks up and down the staircase, and while the bathroom was set up well it had an unpleasant drain smell. Overall we did not think our rental was value for money.

Dans le logement, tout était conforme aux photos et à la description, c’était très propre.

We had an amazing time staying at casa pedro burgau.
The little fishermans cottage was exactly what we had hoped for.The view from the balcony was amazing and the walk to the beach was 1 minute .The apartment offers everything you wish for, all the local resteraunts, supermarkets are right next to the apartment. We will definately book casa pedro again. Rental valley our air b hosts were excellent, communication was quick and they were very friendly and helpful....thank you xx

Best location! Right on the beach! Burgau is a great village, small enough to not be commercial but still good restaurant options. The balcony is lovely and makes this place worthwhile! The stairs are very narrow and the bedroom small. But perfect for a couple.

Wir haben unseren sechstägigen Aufenthalt in Burgau sehr genossen! Das Apartment hat uns alles geboten, was wir brauchten. Der Meerblick vom Balkon im Obergeschoss ist wunderschön und es lässt sich das Treiben in den Restaurants und in der schmalen Strasse gut beobachten.
Parkieren war mit etwas Geduld gerade so möglich. Manchmal mussten wir auf den grösseren Parkplatz aus weichen und konnten nicht auf der Strasse vor dem Haus parkieren. Das hat uns aber nicht besonders gestört. In der Hochsaison könnte es aber wahrscheinlich schwierig werden, einen Parkplatz im Dorf zu finden.
Wir haben die Atmosphäre in Burgau sehr genossen und der riesige Strand ist perfekt zum Entspannen, Laufen und Picknicken geeignet. Wir würden die Unterkunft auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen!

Stairs a little steep but had been told about that and bedroom a bit tight but again was already aware of this. All in all a lovely holiday and property would go again.

Second time in this gem of a cottage in the heart of Burgau

We just love Casa Pedro! Stepping back over the threshold, it felt like 'coming home'! The views are stunning and the cottage has a charming seaside feel. Facilities are excellent and recent decor updates made it even lovelier. We hope to come back again next year 😊

We had some trouble finding it and had to ask local resident. In your check in notes you could mention it’s above the ice cream shop and there’s a narrow access on the left across from Breeze cafe !

We advised agent that we had left property and could not use ,we have demanded a full refund ,agent has refused. We will now persue both Airbnb and agent for the full refund .we will also advise the local authorities of our concerns re safety

The bedroom, however, was small, and, being a little elderly, we found navigating ourselves around the bed was difficult. And there was nowhere to put clothes except for a wardrobe. That said, we had a lovely time there.

This apartment has a small but perfect for two balcony, an adequate kitchen, and a comfortable bed. We want to come back here again and again!

Pros: Balcony is the highlight as spectacular views. Nice and airy living space. Kitchen and bathroom spaces are adequate sizes. Very thoughtful package on arrival (wine, water, milk, butter). Lots of products in the cupboards including coffee, tea, oils, seasonings etc. Every eventuality is thought of with the provisions, including health and safety provisions.
Cons: Bedroom is very very small, difficulty getting in & out of the bed due to bed flat up against the wall. Only way for one partner is to scooch to the bottom of the bed which has a large wooden bed frame. Lots of bruises!!
Not much room for clothes, shoes, suitcases in the fitted wardrobe which has limited access due to the bed! Ok for us as we travel light. Chest of drawers is outside the bedroom as no room in the bedroom.

We enjoyed the mornings and evenings on the small balcony overlooking the near beach. In the kitchen you find everything you need. The bathroom is okay with a big shower. If you don't mind the narrow stairs up to the living-room and balcony as well as the very small bedroom, it's a perfect apartment for some days in the nice village of Burgau. Check- in is easy to manage with a key-box.

This is really a dream location in beautiful Burgau. The balcony sold it for us and it didn't disappoint for great views and watching the sun set.

The cottage is small with narrow stairs and a small bedroom, but this is all manageable - it's a fisherman's cottage! Bathroom and kitchen are sufficient.

Our favourite restaurant Miam is literally across the street, the beach is seconds away, and just up the street Love Burgau do fantastic cocktails.

The property company was very responsive and helpful when we needed. But overall the cottage needs some minor care and attention. Walls are all marked, sofa is threadbare and worn so much it was painful to lean on, and the shower drain was partly blocked.

Truly amazing Airbnb, simply for the proximity to the ocean, balcony with stunning seaview, and location right in the heart of Burgau. We loved our time here. It is a small and cozy duplex apt and felt like we were staying in a tiny house. We will definitely be back!

J'ai passé un très bon séjour dans cette jolie maison de pêcheur. L'emplacement est idéal, sur la plage. Et la vue depuis la terrasse est magnifique. Même en hiver, le soleil était au rendez-vous et j'ai pu manger tous les jours sur la terrasse. À mon arrivée, il y avait même de quoi prendre mon premier petit déjeuner, merci pour cette attention. À très bientôt !

Die Lage war top, deshalb war für uns der Preis akzeptabel. Wenn man überlegt, dass man für ein 4 Sterne Hotel incl. das gleiche bezahlt, war die Unterkunft allerdings zu teuer. Burgau am Strand lohnt sich immer im Gegensatz zu den vielen touristischen Orten an der Algave.

This cozy apartment is located in a beautiful place with a wonderful view right at the ocean. And a straight entrance to the beach. Around the apartment there’s a lot of wonderful restaurants with splendid food and great bars. I’d stay here again with great pleasure.

la situation géographique est pratique pour visiter les alentours.
par contre, la literie est assez mauvaise pourle lit principal et pour le 3eme couchage en haut impossible de dormir au vu de l'état du matelas... très dommage...
nous avons aussi constaté un problème d'évacuation d'eau dans la salle de bain ..

malgré cela nous avons passé un agreale sejour dans ce petit village bucolique.

Casa Pedro har en fantastisk beliggenhet i idylliske Burgau, nært stranden, restauranter og butikker. Huset var praktisk innredet med en herlig utsikt fra balkongen. Rental Valley hadde laget et nyttig informasjonshefte og svarte alltid raskt på våre henvendelser. Dette er også en fin beliggenhet som utgangspunkt for å oppleve resten av Algarve.

Bellissima vista e posizione, ma appartamento non all'altezza del prezzo pagato.

-Scarsa igiene in generale
-Mobilio e oggetti d'uso vetusti ed estremamente rovinati
-Letto scomodissimo con materasso assolutamente da cambiare (era praticamente sfondato, dormire in campeggio sarebbe stato più comodo)
-Forte odore di fogna proveniente dal bagno e che tanfa tutto l'appartamento
-Non era disponibile e in dotazione uno stendino decente per stendere il bucato, men che meno delle mollette per fissare il bucato (disponibili 8 di legno marce)
-Oggetti sul balcone senza senso d'uso da buttare in discarica (come altre piccole cose all'interno dell'appartamento)
-Pareti da imbiancare
-In generale, struttura con molto potenziale ma estremamente trasandata nei dettagli.
La posizione e la vista non devono essere i soli criteti che giustificano il prezzo pagato. Chi pernotta in un appartamento con un costo di un certo tipo pretende dei servizi all'altezza di quanto è stato saldato (in anticipo).
Dopo la riservazione si riceve un documento legale con tutte le disposizioni e viene presa a garanzia la carta di credito per eventuali danni durante il pernottento. Quando si arriva nell'appartamento ci si preoccupa poiché tutto è rovinato e si prega il signore di non ricevere un addebito dei rottami e dei malfunzionamenti presenti nell'appartamento. Per scrivere questa recensione ho quindi aspettato su Booking risposta che una volta lasciato l'appartamento fosse tutto ok (mi è stato confermato che da parte mia non sono stati causati dei danni) e tutto perfetto, quindi senza brutte sorprese di addebiti.
Francamente ho trovato il tutto una vera e propria mancanza di rispetto per chi pernotta in questo appartamento. Ci ho trascorso quattro notti e ne sono uscita col mal di schiena e con le narici intasate di tanfo di fogna. Consiglio pertanto ai gestori (agenzia) di sistemare il tutto per i prossimi, perché è davvero un peccato andarsene così scontenti.

El olor a alcantarilla de vez en cuando en la planta baja (el baño), aunque se va al ventilar o encender alguna vela aromática. La planta baja y la escalera son bastante estrechas. El baño podría estar mejor. Pero son sólo detalles, en general todo muy bien.

A beautiful fisherman’s cottage right by the sea. Sea view every morning with breakfast was stunning! Hearing the waves at night putting you to sleep. Beautiful beach right on your doorstep. I would stay here again. Agency were super quick to respond when we had an issue with our TV. Overall, a cute little cottage for 2 people for a peaceful stay. Lots of cliff walks to do and restaurants around after a long day walking or sunning on the beach. Thank you for everything.

Sehr schöne Lage, die Unterkunft wie auf den Fotos - aber etwas in die Jahre gekommen, Matratze und Sofas ziemlich durchgesessen bzw. gelegen.
Der Blick auf den Strand und das Meeresrauschen beim Einschlafen sowie der gemütliche kleine Balkon hingegen waren traumhaft.

10/10 location in Burgau - a fantastic beach spot, stunning views as pictured and a much less touristy area than other beaches in the Algarve. As other reviewers have mentioned, the bathroom does have a sewage smell and the bedroom is small. We had the windows open the whole time and it was fine this way. We enjoyed hearing the sound of waves as we fell asleep and were not personally concerned, though taller travellers might be. The upstairs furniture is old, but it's all workable and comfortable. To be honest, the location and views are so outstanding that the defects of the place feel quite minor. We absolutely loved having a self-catering place so close to the beach (literally seconds), enjoyed local great restaurants and loved having coffee and dinner on the Airbnb's balcony. The kitchen was good to cook in with plenty of pans, though very limited supplies (e.g. no salt when we arrived). Shower always hot and good pressure. Wifi worked well.

I booked this particular apartment primarily because the view from the balcony looked so amazing (which it is!). Overall, the apartment exceeded our expectations in terms of comfort and facilities...we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and only wish we could have stayed longer.
