## Emplacement
Le 4ème arrondissement se trouve au centre de Paris. Il est très touristique, incluant la moitié de l'île de la Cité (avec la cathédrale Notre-Dame), tout l'île St. Louis plus une bonne partie du Marais, sur la rive droite. Non loin de la Place de la Bastille, de ses bars, restaurants, cafés et magasins en tout genre, il permet aussi d'aller se balader sur les quais et d'admirer de très beaux paysages.

- Tous les moyens de transport : à 5 minutes à pied (bus, métros, RER à 10 min)
- La Gare de Lyon : à 12 minutes en transport en commun.
- L'Aéroport de Paris-Orly : à 50 minutes en voiture.

The property is in a great area, the apartment is charming and the host's responsiveness was great. There was no air conditioning, which in 100 degree heat was quite difficult to bear.
Not the most comfortable apartment with old fashioned fittings and small beds, very much someone’s home, but a great loc
Positive:
Great location. Nice building . Good communication and info on getting in etc on arrival . We liked the balcony.
Negative:
Beds very uncomfortable, ill fitting black sheets, not proper pillows but thin slices of polyester, bathroom tiny and hard to move, no loo on upper floor with spiral staircase, dangerous at night , no warning of this when booking . This properly is not suitable for young children, older people or anyone who can’t climb stairs without a bannister . In order to sit on the loo you need to be quite small , the plumbing is very old fashioned . The flat is full of the owners belongings , and didn’t feel that clean. Drawers and cupboards sealed with gaffer tape. Almost all the lamps were unplugged and it was difficult to find the sockets in some cases . We arrived in the dark and it was not easy to setup the bedside lights . In one room it was not possible as there was no socket although a lamp had been placed next to the bed (sofa bed)
Everything is very old fashioned and yes I suppose this has a sort of old world Parisian charm, but it made things difficult and meant it didn’t feel clean. The shower fitting literally fell off the wall when my husband tried to have a shower . There was hot water which is a plus.. floor boards very noisy so everyone wakes up if you need to get up in the night . This property had no reviews when we booked it so it was a punt .

The apartment is charming but completely unsuitable for families or groups. It’s listed as 3 bed/2 bath, but there’s only one “usable”bathroom with the cramped toilet that you can’t in fact sit on. Showers also had no curtains. The kitchen lacks basic functionality, it’s so tiny that you can’t even walk there comfortably and there were no trash cans anywhere.
The apartment is a duplex and the steep stairs are unsafe for kids and elderly . We booked for a week but had to leave early (with no refund) because it wasn’t suitable for our baby and elderly parents. Host and Booking.com offered no help or solution. I would not recommended this place for more than a night. Paris apartments are generally small which is totally ok but this place is definitely not suitable for more than 2 people and definitely not usable if you are planning to cook meals.
